It strengthens the abdominal organs which can aide in indigestion and support the lower back. Also known as the Crane pose, this posture strengthens the arms, the wrist, the back body and the abdominal organs. This asana also teaches us and reminds us of the importance of integration in our postures.
Place a block at your feet to transition into crow pose. Stand on your toes on the block, place your hands on the mat, bend your elbows, lift your hips, bring your knees in, and soar. Practice lifting each foot off the block until you feel confident enough to bring both toes up.
